Welcome to my little home on the world wide web. The main purpose of this site is to let those who would like to, keep up with what I am doing. Right now I just have pages dedicated to my hobbies. I hope to someday expand to video blogging or just written blogging. So until then I will update this as I have new material. I hate writing biographies, because I always feel so self absorbed. So here it goes....My name is Jennifer McEvoy. My friends call me Big Jenn or JD. I am a 34 year old, Illinois native, now living in Los Angeles, CA H It's been a long road to get to where I am now, not just geographically, but mentally and emotionally speaking as well. **UPDATE** I am currently enrolled in the Criminal Justice program of University of Phoenix/Axia College. (online courses) I am in my second year of classes which are going very well; 3.96 GPA baby!I have been playing music, in some form or fashion since I was a small child. I started band in fourth grade and switched instruments about every year to year and a half. I got bored very easily. Once I learned one, I wanted to move on to another. I continued this until well after high school. I now have approximately 12 instruments at which I can play fairly well.I have also been writing since about 12 years old. At that time I had lost three grandparents and needed an outlet for my pain, sadness and pre-teen angst. I found that in writing poetry. I had a few writings published in the school newspaper and one or two in the local newspaper in my hometown, as memorial writings for my grandparents.I did not start publicly performing music until I moved to Texas (karaoke does NOT count) and met a wonderful vocal artist named Anton Shaw. Anton has been a great inspiration and mentor to me over the last 2 1/2 years. I thank her greatly for this. Since the first time I played during Anton's intermissions at Alexandre's to the very scary opening for Anton night at the old Sue Ellen's and now at Song Swap on Sundays, I have learned a great deal about myself and performing. I hope to one day record a CD comprised of not only some of my favorite cover songs but also some original music. I am a fairly amateur photographer, but I LOVE taking pictures. It is a hobby at this time but one day I hope to make some money from it. I have taken some very neat pictures over the years and continue to do so.so..... Enough about me, well not really go check out my work.
